2021 BMW 5 Series image teased.

In the past, BMW was spotted with a camouflage spy shot of the upcoming 5 Series facelift and now the carmakers have released a teaser image of the upcoming 5 series facelift, announcing that it will be making its official debut in the coming weeks.
The teaser image does not reveal a lot of information, but it will be featuring a tweaked exterior design which includes slimmer headlamps with L-shaped LED daytime running lamps, a new plug-in hybrid powertrain option, and larger iteration of the kidney grille, which will now be conjoined.

Along with these changes, the updated car is expected to get a slightly refreshed design for the LED tail lamps and bumpers. Inside the bonnet, not a lot of changes are expected. Inside, the 5 Series facelift is expected to get only minor updates. However, the car will now be offered with some additional features of wireless Android Auto connectivity with the infotainment system.

With the facelift of the 2021 BMW  5 series, it is expected that BMW will get a dubbed 545e plug-in hybrid which sits above the 530e. The 545e is rumored that the 545e will be powered by an inline-six engine, combined with an electric motor, producing nearly 400hp. However, it remains to be revealed whether we will get this powertrain option in India or not. In India BMW currently offers the 5 Series with three different variants, which include two diesel and one petrol engine. While the 2.0-liter petrol variant produces 252hp, the 2.0-liter diesel and 3.0litre diesel produces 190hp and 265hp.

The 2021 BMW 5 Series will continue to hook up against Mercedes-Benz E-class, Audi A6, and the Jaguar XF.
