2021 Honda Gold Wing Launched At A Price Of Rs 37.20 Lakh
The 2021 Honda Gold Wing is launched in India at a starting price of Rs 37.20 Lakh for the basic tour variant with a manual six-speed gearbox. The 7-speed DCT and airbag Honda Gold Wing Tour would put you back at Rs 39.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram).
The Honda Gold Wing Tour sports a flat-six liquid-cooled 1833cc engine, producing 126hp at 5500rpm, and 170Nm at 4500rpm. A shaft-drive system transfers power to the back wheel. It has also included small modifications to the fuel injection system in order to increase the maneuverability of the Gold Wing at low speed.
The manual 6-speed gearbox includes what Honda describes as a “cam damper” which enhances shift quality and lowers noise during a gear change. The slip and support clutch lowers the lever effort and prevents rear-wheel movement during forceful shifts. There is also an electrical reverse function.
Honda has also improved automated hardware and software for the dual-clutch Gold Wing to improve city rideability. Compared to the previous model, the DCT technology works smoother and quieter. It also has a creeping feature which makes moving the bike simpler or leaving a garage behind.
The 2021 Honda Gold Wing is supplied with traction, cruise control, and the Hill Start Assist as far as electronics are concerned. Four modes of ride – Tour, Sport, Econ, and Rain – are also available. You can access them through a 7-inch TFT display, including Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto connection.
The bike has an aluminum die-cast frame, with a single double-wishbone front suspension and a preloadable link monoshock at the back. The version of the Gold Wing Tour has got a few modifications to the suspension configuration, in particular for two riders.
Electrical adjustment of the suspension is provided by 4 preset configurations – a rider with baggage, a rider with a pillion or full luggage, and a pillion.
Twin disks in the front and single disks on the back with the combined D-CBS or Dual braking system are used for braking tasks.
Given its pure length and the size of the wing, the Honda Gold Wing is very impressive to look at. It has full LED lighting and LED fog lamps are also available for the Gold Wing Tour. Honda also rethought the pillion seat for improved comfort, keeping in mind the motorcycle’s touring purpose. The capacity of the bike’s baggage has also increased with a larger top box.
Two colors are available for the 2021 Honda Gold Wing. This is a beautiful Gunmetal black and Matte morion Black design in DCT. The Pearl Glare White manual is available.
The engine may be booked online or in the premium dealerships of Honda BigWing.Delivery will commence from July 2021.
