2021 Triumph Speed Twin Pre-Bookings Begins
In the lead-up to its next Indian formal launch, Triumph has begun to accept pre-orders for its fast 1200cc modern classic Speed Twin.
Triumph just updated its 2021 Speed Twin and the new bike is about to reach our coast. The firm has already started to collect Rs 50,000 pre-reservations, which indicates that a public debut is only around the corner. The Speed Twin comes in a single form, with a price of around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). This would represent an increase of just over Rs 50,000, in line with the rate increase in the United Kingdom.
This year’s updates cover altered internal engine systems which lead to an increase of 3hp to 100hp and an unchanged 112Nm of torque 500RPM earlier, with an increment of 4,250rpm. It is also reported that the engine is more reactive and is now expanding with brushed stainless steel end cans.
The front suspension has been connected to a larger USD 43mm cartridge Gabel from Marzocchi in the chassis department. New aluminum 12-speed wheels are now packed in Metzeler Racetec RR rubber. The Brembo axially mounted brakes were also removed by the triumph and the new Brembo M50 monobloc radially mounted calipers were installed.
The 2021 Speed Twin also has several visual improvements. In addition to the above new wheels, they contain new anodized headlight brackets and new brushed aluminum mounts.
