2021 Yamaha YZF-R7 Images Leaked Before Its Official Launch
Before its official announcement, Yamaha’s upcoming YZF-R7 is disclosed through leaked pictures.
The next YZF-R7 could be the worst secret of Yamaha. A paper filed with the Air Resources Board of California (CARB) surfaced online in March 2021, confirming the return of the Yamaha moniker YZF-R7. Leaked photos have now brought us a clear view of the next supersport in medium weight.
Clearly, Yamaha has stuck to his provocative vocabulary of supersport style. It has special touches as the single-pod headlight, framed by what seems to be an intake of ramen air, while it has styling elements with other YZF-R. The R7 is also equipped with wide openings to dissipate warm air. The rear end is stiffened sharply and is designed for other YZF-R versions.
The photographs also show that the YZF-R7 is available in two colors: Raven Black and Yamaha Blue. The above-mentioned CARB paper also revealed that.
The 2021 Yamaha YZF-R7 is expected to be powered by the same 2021 MT-07 689cc parallel-twin motor. The emissions output data were in fact similar to the emissions of the bike which indicate power and torque values, 72.4hp at 8,750rpm and 67Nm at 6,500rpm, which may remain unchanged as well. Nevertheless, stay tuned tomorrow to confirm this.
The USD fork instead of the telescopic unit on MT-07 makes another major difference. If it can deliver adjustability remains to be seen. The framework also looks like small updates, which we hope to learn about tomorrow.
The 2021 Yamaha YZF-R7 will take on the Kawasaki ZX-6R and the Aprilia RS660 in terms of rivalry.
