2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee To Launch In India On November 11
On November 11, Jeep will release the cost of its brand-new Grand Cherokee. The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee will rank above the Meridian in Jeep’s India lineup as the company’s premier SUV. After the Wrangler, Compass, and Meridian, this will be Jeep’s fourth locally-made vehicle.
New styling elements that had previously been seen on the Wagoneer and the Meridian are present on the new Grand Cherokee. The SUV has a seven-slot grille with narrow headlights with LED DRLs on either side. The new LED taillights and a floating roof look at the D-pillar are two further design features of the 2017 Grand Cherokee.
Although there are two sizes available for the 2019 Grand Cherokee outside of India, sources tell us that the model sold there will be the shorter, three-row Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The interior of the SUV will feature a sizable 10.1-inch touchscreen in the center, a digital instrument display, and a separate touchscreen placed in front of the co-driver. ADAS technology will be included in the new SUV, according to the manufacturer. The powered tailgate, ventilated front seats, leather interior, panoramic sunroof, and head-up display are other highlight features.
The 2019 Grand Cherokee will only be available with a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine, unlike the previous generation’s Grand Cherokee, which had both gasoline and diesel engine options. The power outputs of this engine, which will come standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission, have not yet been disclosed by Jeep. Four-wheel drive and selectable terrain modes, including Auto, Sport, Mud/Sand, and Snow, are anticipated for the 2017 Grand Cherokee.
According to our sources, the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee would fight in India against other premium SUVs like the Mercedes GLE, BMW X5, and Land Rover Discovery at a projected price of roughly Rs 85 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries of the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee are anticipated to start in a few cities by early December.
