2023 Hyundai Creta Price Starts From Rs 10.84 Lakh

RDE and E20-compliant engines have been added to Hyundai’s Creta midsize SUV, and the company has also made standard safety measures like six airbags across the board. Although costs for the SUV have increased by much to Rs 45,000, this occurs just before the RDE rules take effect in April 2023. Currently, the 2023 Hyundai Creta priced between Rs. 10.84 lakh and Rs. 19.13 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The petrol engines on the Creta are now E20 compliant, which means they can now operate on petrol that contains 20% ethanol, even though there are no changes to the engine lineup or power numbers. To address the more corrosive nature of ethanol, this calls for a few adjustments to the fuel systems, engine calibration, and rubber hoses. Beginning in April 2023, the government will introduce E20 fuel gradually.

Now that the engines are RDE compliant, which means they are tested for emissions under more rigorous real-world circumstances than the typical lab testing used in the MIDC cycle, they are cleaner (Modified Indian Test Cycle). In order to help with fuel efficiency, all engines now come standard with an idle start/stop mechanism. SCR (selective catalytic reduction) systems are currently used for pollution control in diesel engines.

Hyundai has also made a number of safety measures standard across the board as part of the 2023 model year facelift. Six airbags are now standard equipment on the Creta’s base E grade, along with ESC, VSM, hill assist, rear disc brakes, adjustable seatbelt height, and ISOFIX mounts. Six airbags were previously only available on the highest-spec SX(O) trim, while ESC, hill assist, rear disc brakes, and ISOFIX mounts were added starting with the SX trim. The 60:40 rear seat split/fold function, which was also previously available from the SX model upwards, is now included as standard on the Creta.

Similar upgrades have also been released by Hyundai for the SUVs Venue and Alcazar. All of the automaker’s SUV models are now RDE and E20 certified.
