Benelli TRK 251 Launched At A Price Of INR 2.51 Lakh

Benelli has unveiled the TRK 251, a quarter-liter adventure tourer priced at Rs 2.51 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Benelli offered a number of 250cc models in India during the BS4 era, but after the implementation of BS6 emission standards, the company’s smallest bike for our market has been the 374cc Imperiale 400. Now, the quarter-liter products are making a comeback, starting with the recently released Benelli TRK 251 adventure tourer.

It’s powered by a 249cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which is the same as the Leoncino 250 that was previously available in India. The KTM 250 Adventure’s output stats are marginally lower at 25.8hp and 21.1Nm, compared to the KTM 250 Adventure’s 29.9hp and 24Nm. At Rs 2.30 lakh, the Austrian is also more inexpensive (ex-showroom, Delhi).

A steel trellis frame, suspended on a USD fork and monoshock, holds the TRK together. While it is billed as an adventure tourer, it only has 170mm of ground clearance, which is the same as a Yamaha R15 V4. It will be aided on the road by its enormous 18-liter fuel tank, which, when combined with the 250cc engine, should provide an excellent range.

The TRK’s road focus is evident, with 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends and Metzeler Sportec tires that are particularly street-oriented. An LED headlamp, fully digital instruments, and dual-channel ABS are among the features.
