Citroen C3 To Unveil Next Month
The Citroen C3 is anticipated to make its official debut in India next month, followed by a launch. The entry-level small SUV is currently undergoing intensive testing around the country, with commuters catching it sans disguise virtually every day on our roads.
The Citroen C3 is a response to people who claimed that the C5 Aircross was too expensive, with prices starting at over Rs. 38 lakhs (ex-showroom). The C3’s biggest strength would be its design inspiration from its older sibling.
It will most likely be driven by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine, which will be available in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions. The engines would be coupled to either manual or automated transmissions, allowing for a wide range of options.
The estimated price of the C3 is an intriguing point to consider. According to sources, it will start at barely over Rs. 5.5 lakhs ex-showroom, undercutting even the entry-level Nissan Magnite.
Despite its modest price, the Citroen C3 will include a 10-inch touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, as well as a digital instrument cluster. The inclusion of basic safety features is also envisaged.
The car’s SUV stance is further enhanced by the fused roof rails. At the front, split headlamps and Citroen’s characteristic grille finish the design, while the side and rear receive discreet decoration.
