Gravton Quanta Launched At Rs 99,000

The electric Gravton Quanta vehicle is introduced for Rs 99,000 (ex-showroom, Hyderabad).

The Quanta is Gravton Motors’ first electric car, a Hyderabad-based start-up. The Quanta was introduced at a starting price of Rs 99,000, which would shortly rise to around Rs 1.1-1.2 lakh. Gravton said that the price will fall down to about Rs 99,000 if the FAME II subsidy is approved. The Quanta is only first available in Hyderabad, but the firm plans to introduce it in the future in other locations.

The vehicle is a centered BLDC engine that produces the 3kW (continuous) and 3,6kW requested (peak). In the meanwhile, the battery is a 3 kWh lithium-ion unit that gives the scooter more than a requested distance of 100 km; Gravton adds the battery may be removed. The Quanta is also at 70kph with a high speed and a performance equivalent to 100cc.

Gravton Quanta has a single cage frame that is combined with a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers. The firm claims that the Quanta utilizes The EV moves on 17-inch wheels and is braked at both ends. It includes a computerized dash that shows basic and all-LED lighting information. It also has a smartphone app that allows a few linked capabilities but lacks turn-by-turn browsing.

The firm claims to have designed and manufactured several of its electric vehicles in India. Components like battery and engine have nevertheless been sourced from China.

Currently, the firm claims to have 2 000 units per month of production capacity. Gravton said it plans to sell five thousand units this year and 18 thousand next year, too.
