Hyundai i30 was seen on road for testing again; this time with a badgering of ARAI, Govt. of India.
Back in 2018, the Hyundai i30 was seen with a 1.4 diesel engine on roads of Tamilnadu. But this time it was seen with a much powerful engine i.e. 16.L Diesel engine and badgering of ARAI, India. This strongly suggests that Hyundai is planning to launch its new i30 in India, along with its newer i20.
Although there is no press realize or announcements regarding the launch of i30 in India. Also, there are no rivals in the segment of the Hyundai i30 in India. The 1.6L Badge also suggests that it’s going to have the four-cylinder turbocharged diesel unit either in the power tunes of – 115 hp or 136 hp with the transmission of 6-speed manual unit or a 7-speed dual-clutch unit.
In Europe, Hyundai i30 is also available with 1.4-liter naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engines and has rivals like VW Golf, Skoda Scala, and Peugeot 308, etc.
In the BS6 era launching a post-4-meter hatchback that too with a diesel option sounds odd also Hyundai is yet to announced or give any hints about the launch. Till that the spy shots are just teasers and we have to wait for the full movie.
In this lockdown time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, brands are taking a lot of effort to sell their vehicle and recover some of the losses. Hyundai also geared up for the sell its newly launched Creta and Verna through its digital platform Click-to-Buy. Then it’s upon Hyundai to launch this i30 along with i20 or after that.
