Jaguar I-Pace Launched At A Price Of INR 1.06 crore
The Jaguar I-Pace is India’s first all-electric vehicle offered by the manufacturer. The price for the base trim was Rs 1.06 crore and it reaches Rs 1.12 crore for the top-specific HSE trim (ex-showroom, India).
The Jaguar I-Pace is available in three categories, the S, SE, and top specific HSE, as we have mentioned previously. Standard features of the I-Pace include 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED headlamps and taillights, a full-length fixed glass sunroof, dual Pivi Pro, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, connected car technology “InControl,” etc.
The fully kitted Jaguar I-Pace HSE trim is completely fitted with adaptive ‘Matrix’ LED headlights, hand-free boot releases, adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, Windsor leather seats, a 16-speaker, 825W Meridian sound system, and many more.
Optional supplements, including intelligent air suspension, 4-zone climate control, PM2.5-filtration ionizing air purifier, and an I-Pace Optical Rearview mirror, are available for customers as well.
Two electric motors providing a combined torque of 400 hp and 696NM are given in the I-Pace. Jaguar says that the 2.2-ton electric SUV will make an electric sprint of 0-100kph in 4.8 sec and reach the top speed of 200kph.
Jaguar has fitted a 90kWh battery with the all-electric I-Pace. This provides a WLTP range of 470 km with a single charge the battery of the I-Pace takes an 11kW home charger and takes 12.9 hours to get fully charged, while the charger of 50kW is supposed to provide a distance of up to 270km per hour.
In addition, Jaguar offers a 5-year free service plan and 5 years of roadside assistance along with a regular battery guarantee of 8 years or 1,60.000 kilometers.
Jaguar partnered with Tata Power to bring both I-Pace customers home and workplace charging services. This connection would also provide I-Pace customers with access to over 200 charging stations in over 23 Indian cities created by Tata Power.
Jaguar is also taking a further phase in installing over 35 DC quick chargers across 22 of its dealers in 19 countries. The buying of the EV is also equipped with a complimentary wall-mounted loader of 7.4kW AC.
The Mercedes-Benz EQC electrical SUV, reportedly only priced at Rs1.04, is the only competition for I-Pace EV (ex-showroom, India). With the arrival of the Audi e-Tron, the segment will become more dynamic later this year.
