Maruti Suzuki is ready to supply Vitara Brezza to Toyota
In June 2019 Maruti Suzuki started supplying the Baleno to Toyota and rebadged as Glanza, and now the board members of Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) are all set to begin the supply of the facelifted Vitara Brezza compact SUV to Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM).
The previous month we broke news about Upcoming Toyota urban cruiser could be the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Unlike the Toyota Glanza, the Toyota Urban cruiser is expected to differentiate itself from Vitara Brezza.
Not to mislead you in any way (for reference only), Toyota Urban Cruiser may show a difference on the bumpers and grille, but there may be no sheet-metal changes, and it could get the same alloy wheels as the Maruti. The interior includes on the inside, lighter color scheme, and some graphics to highlight the interior is much expected. The cosmic changes for visual differentiation are still under the hood.
Toyota Urban Cruise will offer the same 1.5-liter engine which produces 105hp, and the option of a 5-speed manual and 4- speed automatic gearbox. It may not vary too much from the Maruti Vitara Brezza but is most likely to be priced around Rs 7.34 lakhs.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser may offer a hybrid engine in the manual variants as well. The automatic version of the Vitara Brezza facelift is available with the fuel-saving SHVS technology which makes it more efficient than its manual counterpart, if the Urban Cruiser packs get the key feature in the manual version then it may gain the fuel efficiency which could become one of its USPs.
Toyota is likely to offer 3-year/1, 00,000km standard warranty with the Urban Cruiser while the Maruti Vitara Breeza was having 2-year / 40,000km warranty. The Toyota Urban Cruiser will be launched in August 2020.
