MBP T1002V Adventure Unveiled
The MBP T1002V adventure bike, manufactured by MBP or Moto Bologna Passione, has been unveiled. It will be available for purchase in the UK in the upcoming months. At the next Auto Expo 2023, the Italian-origin brand will shortly make its debut in India.
The majority of the weight is centred at the front end of the new T1002V, giving it an upright stance. It has two LED headlamps, a large windscreen, a short front fender that resembles a beak, and a sizable baggage rack at the back. The ADV is available from MBP in four colours: Matte Green, Red MBP, Silver, and Sand.
A 997cc liquid-cooled, V-twin engine that generates 94 horsepower at 7,600 revolutions per minute and 102 Nm at 6,500 revs per minute powers the ADV. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The MBP T1002V Adventure has the following measurements: 2,245mm in length, 965mm in width, 1,450mm in height, and 1,582mm for the wheelbase. The gasoline capacity is 21 litres, the seat height is 820mm, and the ground clearance is 190mm. MBP claims that the ADV weighs 235kg, although this is only the dry weight and does not take fluids into account.
The T1002V’s chassis is a perimeter frame, which is supported by a KYB USD fork with preload adjustment up front and a KYB monoshock at the rear. The MBP T1002V Adventure has wire-spoke wheels from MPB, with the front wheel measuring 19 inches and the rear wheel measuring 17 inches.
Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres in sizes 120/70-19 up front and 170/60-17 at the back are mounted on it. Twin 320mm front discs and a single 260mm rear disc, all with J.Juan callipers and Bosch’s ABS system, are responsible for stopping the vehicle.
The BMW F 850 GS and the Triumph Tiger 900 will be competitors for the MBP T1002V when it is released. In the upcoming months, MBP plans to introduce both the T1002V and the C1002V cruiser motorbike in the UK. There is no information yet regarding the T1002V’s launch in India.
Similar to Benelli and Moto Morini, MBP is an Italian brand with Chinese ownership that will be sold in India through AARI (Adishwar Auto Ride India Pvt Ltd), which now sells 26 different bikes from five different manufacturers. The M502N, a mid-capacity naked bike, will be MBP’s first offering and will be unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo.
