Mercedes Benz A Class Limousine And  AMG A 45 S Facelifts Launched

Mercedes-Benz India has introduced two updated models: the AMG A 45 S 4Matic+ hatchback is priced at Rs 92.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and the A-Class Limousine is priced at Rs 45.80 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The A 220d diesel sedan will come later this year, and as of right now, the automaker has only sold the A 200 petrol sedan in India.

The front headlights of the facelifted Mercedes Benz A Class Limousine have a new design for the LED daytime running lamps but have the same general form as the pre-facelift model. Additionally, the grille has been changed and now features a honeycomb mesh pattern and a somewhat thinner chrome slat. The bumper has also been given a fresh look.

The 17-inch alloy wheels on the A-Class facelift have a new design, but other than that, not much has changed. Redesigned taillamps and bumper chrome are added to the A-Class facelift at the back. This trim piece was previously located between the two exhaust tips, however after redesigning it, it now links the two exhaust tips.

The sporty hatchback also receives a new front bumper and the same headlights as the sedan as we move on to the AMG A 45 S 4Matic+. It continues to have twin-spoke alloy wheels with a 19-inch diameter. The hatchback’s bumper and taillamps have been updated, but there have been a few other alterations.

The inside of the redesigned A-Class hatchback and limousine is basically the same as that of the previous models. The touchpad that was used to operate the infotainment system was absent from both, though. Also receiving redesigned steering wheels with touch-capacitive controls are the hatchback and the sedan. The two 10.25-inch panels, one of which is the digital instrument cluster and the other of which is the touchscreen for the infotainment system, have been carried over from the pre-facelift model. However, both vehicles now include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

As previously indicated, the A-Class Limousine is only now offered in the A 200 petrol; the A 220d diesel will follow. The same 1.3-liter turbo-petrol engine with 163 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque is installed in it. The front wheels receive power from a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. It claims to have a 0-100kph time of 8.3 seconds and a top speed of 230kph.

The 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine in the AMG A 45 S 4Matic+, in contrast, produces 421 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. An 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission transmits power to all four wheels. Mercedes-AMG says that the A 45 S has a top speed of 270 kph and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in under 3.9 seconds.

The A-Class Limousine continues to compete with the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe (Rs. 43.50 lakh–45.50 lakh), just like the pre-facelift model. The AMG hatchback still doesn’t have any local direct competitors, though.
