Nissan Magnite Red Edition To Launch On July 18

Bookings for the Nissan Magnite Red Edition have already started, and it will go on sale on July 18. It will be based on the XV trim and available with all three powertrain options: 1.0-litre NA petrol manual, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol manual, and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol CVT. It honours the Nissan Magnite’s 100,000 bookings milestone. Since the SUV’s debut in 2020, the Nissan Magnite Red is the vehicle’s first special edition.

Red highlights are added to the grille, front bumper cladding, wheel arch, and side body cladding of the Magnite Red Edition. Additionally, it has lighted door sills, body graphics, a conspicuous Red Edition emblem, and chrome garnish on the rear tailgate. Nissan is also expanding the list of amenities with wireless charging, LED DRLs, and ambient lighting.

The Nissan Magnite Red Edition receives an 8.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, push-button start, shark-fin antenna, and an air purifier because it is based on the XV model.

The Red Edition’s powertrain options—a 72-horsepower, 1.0 litre normally aspirated petrol engine or a 100-horsepower, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine—have not changed mechanically. The latter is also offered with a CVT in addition to a typical 5-speed manual transmission.

The Magnite has been successful in the Indian market thanks to its affordable price and well-equipped higher variations. Nissan has produced its 50,000th Magnite at its plant in Oragadam, close to Chennai. Additionally exported to 15 nations is the little SUV.
The Magnite competes against lower-end models of various compact SUVs sold in India, including the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, and new Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Renault Kiger, and Tata Punch.
