SIAM (Society Of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) has released the sales number of various vehicles for FY2020, which spans from April-2019 to March-2020. The sales number have dropped compared to the previous Fiscal Year Of 2019. We have compiled a list consisting of the best selling motorcycles priced between Rs 1.5- 2.0 Lakh.

5. Bajaj Dominar 400 – 10,400 Units

Price: Rs 1,91,751

With 10,400 units being sold in FY2020, the Bajaj Dominar 400’s demand has increased by around 15% compared to the 9,035 units sold in FY2019.

4. Royal Enfield Himalayan – 15,302 Units

Price: Rs 1,86,811 Onwards

The Royal Enfield Himalayan was able to bag the fourth spot in this list with 15,302 units being sold in FY2020, there was an increase of around 42% (10,701 units) compared to FY2019. We recently did a review of the BS6 Royal Enfield Himalayan, read it here.

3. KTM 200 Duke, RC 200 – 24,149 Units

Price: Rs 1,72,749 Onwards

KTM doesn’t reveal exact figures of each model, so we have a combined number for the 200 platform at 24,149 units. In the last fiscal year, the 200 platform had sold about 5,891 units, that’s a decrease of 15% compared to FY2019 where 28,442 units were sold.

2. Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 – 40,185 Units

Price: Rs 1,56,658 (Discontinued)

The Thunderbird range has been discontinued by Royal Enfield owing to less sales and transition to a newer model, the upcoming Meteor 350, read more about it here. The Thunderbird 350 sold nearly 40,185 units but compared to it’s previous 57,705 units sold in FY2019 there has been a decrease of around 43% percent.

1. Royal Enfield Classic 350 – 3,98,093 Units

Price: Rs 1,57,097 Onwards

Royal Enfield’s cash cow, the Classic 350 is the highest selling motorcycle in the Rs 1.5-2 Lakh range, with over 3,98,093 units being sold in FY2020, there has been a decrease in sales figures of around 24 percent but it still is quite a big number and some bikes on this list don’t even come close to it’s sales number.
