Toyota BZ4X Electric SUV Unveiled In Auto Expo 2023
The BZ4X, Toyota India’s first electric SUV, was displayed in India after making its worldwide premiere the previous year. It has two electric motors and all-wheel drive, which are accentuated by glossy black cladding around the wheel arches. It is built on the e-TNGA EV-specific platform. The four-wheeled all-electric vehicle has a sloping roofline, 20-inch machined alloy wheels, a narrow grille, and four thin LED projector headlamps. The front’s general design is not very forceful. The forthcoming BZ4X EV is 150mm longer and 5mm wider than the Toyota RAV4 SUV in terms of dimensions.
Both the 1XM (single motor) and 1YM (dual motor) versions of the Toyota BZ4X Electric SUV, which are both offered on the international market, come equipped with a 71.4kWh battery pack. The combined power output of the two motor arrangement is 215 bhp, compared to the 201 bhp produced by the single motor design. The twin motor edition of the BZ4X gives a stated range of 460 kilometers on a full charge, while the front-wheel-drive model has a claimed range of 510 kilometers. Both variants have two drive modes, eco and regular, and regenerative braking with boost mode. The electric vehicle’s all-wheel-drive system also has grip, deep snow, deep dirt, and snow modes.
A 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an all-digital instrument cluster, heated and ventilated seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are included inside. Its infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and is coupled to a 9-speaker JBL audio system.
Toyota reportedly has no plans to release the Toyota BZ4X Electric SUV in India any time soon. The vehicle was only displayed by the automaker during the current Auto Expo 2023. The Toyota BZ4X (D1 segment-based) electric SUV, on the other hand, will face competition from vehicles like the Volvo XC40 Recharge, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV6 if it is ever released.
