2020 Audi RS7 Sportback India will be launched on 16th June

Just two weeks ago, Audi India opened its order books for the RS7 Sportback and now the company revealed that the super sedan will make its debut on our market on July 16, 2020. The model will be the fourth in the revamped India line-up of the German brand, which includes the A6 and A8 sedans as well as the Q8 SUV.

The new RS7 Sportback is the full-blooded version of the standard, four-door second-gen A7 coupe. It distinguishes itself with numerous styling indications including a massive front grille and air dams and a prominent rear diffuser with twin oval-shaped exhausts.

Wider than the standard car, the RS7 wears 21-inch wheels as an optional extra that can bump up to 22-inches. Expect that Audi will be offering its full range of customizations on the next model.

The 2020 Audi RS7 on the inside is the new-age Audi. Taking center stage is a dual touchscreen configuration that is complemented by the digital instrument cluster Virtual Cockpit of the automaker. The sporty pretensions of the model are further accentuated by an RS flat-bottom steering wheel, paddle shifters, aluminum pedals, and Alcantara polishing.

The 2020 Audi RS7 is powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo petrol V8 which pushes out a colossal torque of 600hp and 800Nm. The other headline figure is just 3.6 seconds in 0-100kph time. The Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox put the power down on all four wheels.

Both included in the kit are 48V mild-hybrid system and cylinder deactivation software but do not expect the RS7 to top any efficiency charts.

Orders for the RS7 can be placed for a booking amount of Rs 10 lakh on the Audi India website and at authorized dealerships. The 2020 Audi RS7 would be costly as it is a full import with prices estimated to be upward of Rs 1.8 crore (ex-showroom). Deliveries are expected to begin in August 2020. As such the RS7 Sportback must compete in our market with the likes of the Mercedes-AMG E63 S and BMW M5 Competition.
