4th-Gen Skoda Octavia To make Its Way In India Within 2 Months
By the end of 2020, Skoda had plans to launch the 4th gene Octavia in India, but the coronavirus pandemic has rippled things off. But now the Sales, Service, and Marketing Director, Zac Hollis, at Skoda Auto India, tweeted and reported that in the next two months, the 4th-Gen Skoda Octavia will be launched in India globally. For the record, in November 2019, Skoda launched Octavia’s 4th generation worldwide.
The 4th-Gen Skoda Octavia has now been inspired by the recent design language of Skoda. This makes the vehicle look more emotional and significantly bigger than its outgoing model.
In enhancing the aerodynamics of the vehicle, and increasing the total fuel performance of the car, Octavia’s latest architecture is vital. In addition to the specification, the latest Octavia has a number of advanced features such as a number of new LED matrix headlights, a wider cockpit, a new HUD (Head-Up Display), 2 10-inch touch screens, a new DSG gearbox, and a range of innovative support technologies such as Collision-Avoidance Assist and Exit Warning.
The 4th-generation Octavia models of the TSI are available worldwide with 3-mild hypotropia variants: a mild hybrid 1.0-liter TSI 3-cylinder, a mild hybrid 1.0-liter TSI and a mild-hybrid 190-pc TSI 2.0-liter TSI motor. A 1.4-liter TSI petrol engine is provided with the plug-in hybrid variant. However, in India, it will offer a petrol variant only. Skoda could introduce to India a 1.5L TSI petrol engine or a 2.0L TSI petrol engine. The former produces 150 hp of maximum power and 250Nm of maximum torque.
Last but not least, the Skoda Superb is also responsible for delivering a maximum output of 190 hp and high torque of around 320 Nm. These two motors are connected to a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
