Honda CB500X Launched In India –Priced At INR 6.87 Lakh

Since last year, we have waited for the 500cc lineup of Honda to arrive in India. Honda India shocked us when it launched CB500X at 6.87 lakh INR though it couldn’t happen in 2020. (ex-sh, Gurgaon). We would loudly state that we haven’t watched it come! Honda CB500X reservations are available from today on to BigWing Topline & BigWing, Honda’s luxury bike dealerships throughout India.

The motorcycle will be imported into the country through the fully-knocked down route and available in two colors –Red Grand Prix and Black Metallic Matte Gunpowder.
The Honda CB500X is one of the families of the CB500 and an adventure tourer. When discussing mechanics, a 471cc, eight-valve, water-cooled parallel two-cylinder engine produces 47bhp at8,500rpm and 43.2Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine is attached to a six-speed gearbox, which is assisted and slippered. Although the CB500X might not be on paper, due to its double cylinders arrangement, we should expect the ADV to become a capable tower.

It switched to an alloy wheel setup of 19/17 inches for2021, a standard feature for modern-day asphalt-based ADVs. A telescopic fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock continue to suspend it. ABS is a regular petal rotor with two channels. With a forward position of 150mm and a 9-position preload-adjustable single shock with 135mm, the frame is hanging on 41mm telescopic forks.

A semi-fairing design, a large windscreen with full LED lights, a negative LCD instrument group, a single part saddle, and alloy wheels are featured on the motorcycling. Dual-channel ABS, an emergency terminal signal, and the Honda Ignition Protection Feature are included in the electronic rider support.

Honda CB500X

We finally have the CB500X in India, but Honda should have more aggressively priced the CB500X because the CKD route brings it to our shores. To provide you with a concept, Kawasaki Versys 650 is INR 7,000 more than CB500X and has more torque and power.

It’s Honda and servicing would seem a lot cheaper than the Versys650. What might work with CB500X is that it is a Honda. Yet it would have taken a real token if it had been valued about INR 5-5.5 Lakh’s mark!
