SIAM (Society Of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) has released the sales number of various vehicles for FY2020, which spans from April-2019 to March-2020. The sales number have dropped compared to the previous Fiscal Year Of 2019. We have compiled a list consisting of the top five best selling scooters in the fiscal year.
5. TVS Ntorq – 2,65,012 Units
Price: Rs 66,885 Onwards
TVS’s Ntorq has been able to achieve the big feat of nearly 5,00,000 units sold in just 2 years since it’s launch. In FY2020, 2,65,012 units were sold, it went up by around 24% compared to FY2019.
4. Honda Dio – 4,39,799 Units
Price: Rs 59,990 Onwards
The Honda Dio came in fourth in this list with it’s 4,39,799 units sold in FY2020, there has been a loss of around 1 percent in sales compared to FY2019. The BS6 model was recently launched, read more about it here.
3. Suzuki Access 125 – 5,70,898 Units
Price: Rs 67,100 Onwards
The Suzuki Access has been doing quite good and has been able to gain 6 percent in sales figures of FY2020 at 5,70,898 units sold.
2. TVS Jupiter – 5,95,545 Units
Price: Rs 62,062 Onwards
TVS’s most selling scooter, the Jupiter which was first launched back in 2013 has been able to bag the second spot on our list with it’s 5,95,545 units sold in FY2020.
1. Honda Activa – 25,91,059 Units
Price: Rs 64,464 Onwards
Honda’s Activa has been the cash cow for the company for quite a while now and in FY2020 it didn’t disappoint, with over 25,91,059 units sold, it is the bestselling scooter in the country and it has been that for quite a while now.
