Triumph will be letting go of around 400 employees to battle the crisis caused by Covid-19. 240 employees to be let go in the UK alone.

Triumph Motorcycles will be downsizing their workforce to minimize losses that they have incurred due to the Covid-19 pandemic and to keep their company running in the long term.

Due to global sales decreasing by around 40-65% in the European, UK and US markets in the past three months, the crisis has caused significant damage to the global motorcycle market said Nick Bloor, CEO, Triumph Motorcycles.

In an Interview Nick Bloor said:
These are not easy decisions to make, especially when individuals’ livelihoods are affected.
However, regrettably the scale of impact of Covid-19 necessitates us to restructure now in order to protect the long term health and success of the Triumph brand and business.

With the Covid-19 pandemic slowing, more brands will be letting go of their employees due to the economic slowdown caused by the pandemic.
